JWS WORKSHOPS

JWS sponsors two workshops per year in conjunction with our Spring and Fall exhibitions. We have been fortunate to have wonderful artists who are recognized nationally, such as Marilyn Hughey Phillis, Sue Archer, Sherry O’Neill, Fran Larsen, Mary Ann Beckwith, Janet Rogers, John Salminen, David Daniels, George James, Pat Weaver, Cheng-Khee Chee, and Ted Nuttall.

The featured artist instructing the workshop also serves as juror for the exhibition and provides a “sneak preview” of the workshop at our monthly meeting on the Tuesday prior to the three day workshop.

All Workshops are held at the Captain's Club on Beach Boulevard. Class sizes are limited to 20 students to insure individual attention.

$100 deposit will hold your spot in the workshop. Total cost for the 3 day workshop is $350 for members, and $400 for nonmembers.

For those of you who are new to our workshops, we provide early morning coffee and lunch, which is included in your fee.  A dinner with the workshop participants and artist is usually  available at your option.

Directions and information about workshop instructor, materials list, and workshop outline, times, etc. will be provided about a week before the workshop to those attending.

See Schedule for upcoming workshops with nationally recognized artists

and see Registration for more information about attending one of workshops.
